Kylie first mural was at Wooloowin State School when she completed painting an underwater scene around a pool with another artist. From this experience, she learnt a lot and has since done 16 murals at different schools. These murals have been commissioned for a range of reasons. Some schools look to brighten up a boring wall or two, add some engaging games and images for the students, commemorate an anniversary or even prevent tagging. Kylie works closely with the school to bring their vision to life, and she does so either on her own, or by including the teachers and students in the process. Having the school be a part of painting the mural creates such a sense of pride in the place and it is something that they will remember from their school years long after they move on. Kylie is currently working on another mural, but you can check out her past work bellow!
